About C&CO
Founder Cathie Hoath's love of making developed from a young age. Her interest in metalwork and woodwork during her formative years at school led to a fascination with tactile materials. This and the fortuitous reading of an inspiring article about the jeweller/silversmith team Helge Larsen & Darani Lewers, cemented her desire to become a jeweller.
In 1991 she completed her BA in Fine Art - Craft (gold and silversmithing) at Monash University, graduating with distinction.
Soon after, she began creating bespoke and contemporary jewellery, founding bling bling design in 2002 and evolving to c&co jewellery in 2016. Her journey continues to unfold with the addition of corporate and seasonal collections to her repertoire.
The cornerstone of Cathie’s philosophy is a love of form and function, with her design aesthetic continually evolving. Her interest in modern architecture and 20th Century furniture influence her designs.
Her bespoke pieces reflect this marriage of form and function, interwoven with her client’s desires. Her collection pieces explore these elements further with the inclusion of Roller Printing, a unique decorative process of embossing pattern directly onto fine gold or silver.
