Our Story
How it all started
Founder Cathie Hoath’s fascination with tactile materials developed into a passion for making in metal. This and the fortuitous reading of an inspiring article on jeweller/silversmith couple Helge Larsen & Darani Lewers, cemented her desire to become a jeweller.
In 1991 she completed her BA in Fine Art - Craft (Gold & Silversmithing) at Monash University, graduating with distinction. Soon after, she began creating bespoke and contemporary jewellery, founding Bling Bling Design in 2002 evolving in 2016 to C&Co Jewellery.
She continues to work in the industry she loves, making and designing individual, small run and corporate jewellery pieces.
Philosophy
The cornerstone of Cathie's philosophy is a love of form and function. Her interest in modern architecture and furniture inform her design aesthetic.
Her bespoke jewellery pieces reflect the marriage of these elements interwoven with her client's desires. Her collection pieces explore this aesthetic further with the inclusion of Roller Printing as a key element of decoration. Roller Printing being the process of embossing pattern directly onto fine gold or silver, giving a textural and tactile quality to the pieces she creates.
